IEN’s Personal Support Worker Role Prep Course

Resident Support Aide On-Line Training
Role and Responsibilities:

The Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing personal care, hygiene, and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, skin care, light meal preparation, feeding, etc.)
Role and Responsibilities:

The Resident Support Aide is responsible for providing non-care related support to residents and does not provide personal care at any time, this includes bathing, toileting and personal grooming.

  • QuickRN: On-line Course 10+ Modules
  • Real scenarios on YouTube for practice instructions
  • Resume and interview prep
  • Free PSW tailored resume template
  • Introduction to a potential employer
  • Work full-time and be able to apply for PR in two years
  • QuickRN: Online Course- 10 modules
  • On the job training 10 days
  • Referral for job offer
  • Work full-time and be eligible to apply for PR after 2 years

Registration Starts June 1, 2023. Early Bird Special Discount $50 for registering in the first week.

Compensation Range:

Personal support workers in Ontario are paid between $17 and $18 as a starting wage, and up to $25 dollars per hour.
Compensation Range:

Resident Support Aides are paid from $15 – $16 per hour as a starting rate.

Personal Support Worker Training Certificate
Role and Responsibilities:

(Student Visa)
  • CDSBEO’s PSW Program 6 mos.
  • 3 months co-op
  • Full-time job after certificate
  • Work full time and be eligible to apply for PR after 2 years
Tuition: $9,000 CAD
Compensation Range:

Personal support workers in Ontario are paid between $17 and $18 as a starting wage, and up to $25 dollars per hour.
